Restorative Yoga by Alexandra 715-815pm

Restorative Raja Yoga was developed by Dr. Yogrishi Vishvketu as a gentle yet profound style within Akhanda Yoga. This practice combines simple, accessible postures with Bhramari (honey bee) sound, which enhances physical release and mental clarity. This class aims to release deeply embedded tension, restore the body's natural rhythms, and support a calm, balanced mind.

Benefits for Practitioners:

- Deep Cellular Stress Release: Bhramari sound, combined with gentle postures, releases stress held within muscles and organs, promoting relaxation at a cellular level.

- Improved Physical and Mental Alignment: Practitioners find improved alignment and ease in movement, while mental tension is released through the effects of sound vibration.

- Enhanced Nervous System and Vagus Nerve Function: The Bhramari sound resonates through the throat, stimulating the vagus nerve and harmonizing the body's stress-relieving systems, including the parasympathetic nervous system. This activation supports relaxation, reduces stress, and enhances emotional regulation, benefiting overall nervous system health.

- Restorative Activation of the Third Eye: Sound vibrations activate the third eye center (Ajna chakra), supporting focus, balanced emotions, and deeper meditation.

- Beneficial for All Life Stages: Particularly supportive for those with insomnia, emotional imbalance, thyroid issues, prevention of neurodegenerative diseases, and during the pregnancy phase. The sound frequencies activate various parts of the brain while calming and nourishing the body and mind.

Restorative Raja Yoga offers a gentle, healing practice that bridges physical relaxation with mental clarity and emotional balance. Combining sound and movement, it reconditions the body to its natural rhythms, cultivating expansion, focus, and inner peace.
